Can Can is a French brasserie and bakery in Cary Court Shopping Center. With seating for over 140 in the main dining room, an Art Nouveau inspired private dining room that seats up to 60 guests or over 100 for cocktails, and a full-service bakery and pastry kitchen supplying all of its breads, pastries, and desserts, the restaurant’s versatility should provide the area an array of options and events. Amuse is a seasonal, farm to table driven restaurant, located on the third floor of the museum. Whether you are dining in our main dining room, full-service bar, or our private dining room, you will be able to take in sweeping views of the Robins Sculpture Garden and the museum’s Cochrane Atrium. Our team works diligently to provide a menu that is directly inspired by the art-filled surroundings, current exhibitions, and seasonality while also carefully selecting only the finest ingredients from local vendors, artisans, and farmers. Just a friendly reminder that the museum does not allow balloons, confetti, glitter, plants potted with soil, and candles with open flames. If a date and time you seek for a reservation appears to be full, please give us a call so we can see what other times might be available.

We strive to serve foods that are not only delicious, but also health conscious, environmentally friendly and socially responsible. We use organic, all natural, local and sustainable ingredients as much as possible while still keeping our prices fair. In addition, we also offer an extensive selection of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and paleo options. We accept reservations for parties of up to 16 on Opentable.     I recently had the pleasure of experiencing afternoon tea at Floris at VFMA, and it was an absolutely delightful affair. The sweet and savory menu items were a perfect balance of flavor, and the selection of teas complemented the dishes beautifully. Each bite and sip felt like a moment to savor. The ambiance at Floris was equally impressive—the seating was both comfortable and elegant, creating an inviting atmosphere that truly enhanced the experience. The staff equally warm and inviting. A personal highlight for me was the cucumber sandwiches. They were wonderfully fresh and flavorful—so good that I found myself wishing for more! Floris exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a refined and relaxing afternoon tea!

    Still, a high point of Richmond dining. We hadn't been in a while and were delighted to discover that "under new management," Can Can is better than ever. Excellent French-inspired menu, quality prep and a welcoming, professional staff. We were pleased to see Lauren captaining the reception desk, and our server, Chelsea, was attentive and cheerful. It's not easy finding a good hollandaise in Richmond, let alone an edible baguette, but Can Can delivers on both counts. Can't wait to return.
