I think this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in my whole life. It lives up to and excels every archetype there is about what a great oyster / seafood restaurant should be. I loved the oysters, the tuna was completely delicious, and frankly absolutely everything was marvelous. Reasonably priced too. the staff was so friendly and helpful (unlike too many of the “tude’y” Los Angeles servers where we are living now!) They also make a very good Bloody Mary. 😀

Our recent visit to Balcón del Zócalo was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, kind service that made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable, and their attentiveness truly stood out. The highlight of our visit, without a doubt, was the breathtaking view. Overlooking the historic Zócalo, the panoramic vista of Mexico City's iconic landmarks was simply mesmerizing. Whether we were enjoying a meal or simply sipping on a drink, the view added an unforgettable touch to every moment. We spent the day exploring the historic center of the city, soaking in its rich culture and vibrant energy, and Balcón del Zócalo was the perfect way to cap off our adventure. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and that incredible view made it an experience we’ll cherish. We can’t wait to return and relive this amazing experience. Balcón del Zócalo is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy the heart of Mexico City in style. Highly recommended!

Súper el lugar y el ambiente, solo mi plato tuve que volverlo a meter a la cocina ya que la carne no estaba en 3/4 o lo que para mí es 3/4 conocido y aparte de eso fría, tanto que al llegar al interior de la carne se sentía que eso jamás tomó temperatura,’por todo lo demás muy bien y el tiempo de espera por la mesa fue bien mínimo.

Despues de nuestra ronda de entradas y primeras bebidas estaba convencido de ponerles 1 estrella, pues trajeron mi plato fuerte y el de mi acompañante no llegaba, despues de 20 min, regresaron a decirme que estaría listo en 3 minutos, despuesde 20 min más regresaron un una tostada de ceviche para disculpalse y decirnos que el pescado zarandeado tardaría todavía más y se llevaron mi platillo pues ya se había enfriado, despues de una hora de espera llegó el pescado zarandeado y un nuevo plato de mi pulpo y camarón al tifi tifi. Obviamente estabamos muy decepcionados del servicio. Cuando pedimos la cuenta nuestra sorpresa es que para disculpase no nos cobraron ningún alimento. Esto respresenta una gran orientación al cliente y se aprecia que reconozcan que fallaron e hicieron algo para que no impactara la mala experiencia del cliente.
