Intimate and characterful steakhouse on the edge of Temple Bar. Amazing steak served with (unusually) green peppers which was an amazing combo! We had the tomahawk to share- meat was enough (and perfectly) but only two sides, so half a bowl of chips and half a bowl of salad each, which was a shame. Good service and atmosphere- will be back!!

We booked a table for my nephews birthday, 9 of us attended. Had to wait until bang on 7 to get the table. Food was lovely. Garlic bread kept on coming. Everywhere you looked, there was garlic bread. Coeliac options were there aswell. I got the piri piri chicken, sauce on side was so spicy. My hubby got the striploin, well done. We shared. Would defo go back.

We decided to share a VCC Sharing platter and it felt like it was the right decision in order to get the best of everything. It was all freshly prepared and delicious, the only word of caution would be that the sliders are more on the juicy side, so plate and napkin advised! The playlist was also very enjoyable and the staff were incredibly kind, always cautioning us if a drink was going to be spicy or bitter. Overall it was a marvelous evening.

For the main course, we shared the selection of steak cuts, and it was nothing short of perfection. Each cut was cooked exactly to our preference, showcasing the quality of the meat and the skill of the kitchen. The variety allowed us to appreciate different textures and flavors, making every bite a delight. The bottle of wine we chose paired seamlessly with the meal, enhancing the richness of the steak without overpowering it. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive, with staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations. The pacing of the meal was just right, allowing us to fully enjoy each course without feeling rushed. Overall, Bouef & Coq delivered a fantastic dining experience that struck the perfect balance between quality food, great service, and an inviting atmosphere.
