Nestled inside the famous Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club is the Black Isles newest restaurant. Opening it's doors in November 2024. Cove Restaurant offers a very relaxed touch of class dining experience with breath-taking views to enjoy whilst you sit and enjoy your meal. Cove kitchen is lead by Craig Douglas who has trained in some of the top restaurants in the world from Tom Kitchins, Sydney Opera House to Ness walk hotel where he was Executive chef for nearly 4 years gaining its five star status for food. Our menus are carefully designed to ensure we are using locally sourced ingredients. Our food philosophy is classic dishes that everybody knows and loves however prepared with a lot of love and executed in a modern way. We offer a Light Bite menu / Clubhouse Lounge menu / Afternoon Tea / A La Carte (Friday's & Saturday's from 5pm - 9pm) (Sunday Lunch menu from 12pm - 5pm).     We loved it!! The food was delicious, and in our opinion very reasonably priced for how good it was! Felt like fine dining without the price tag :) We are both vegetarian and there were plenty of lovely vegetarian (and vegan!) options. Our server was absolutely lovely, which made everything especially nice. And we loved the indoor space too! We’d definitely recommend Fig & Thistle to anyone looking for a lovely dinner in Inverness!

    Our first time at this restaurant, very relaxed atmosphere, no need to dress up. Food and drinks are amazing, something a pit different. The staff are helpful and the whole atmosphere gives a chilled vibe. The alcoholic shakes were different and something that absolutely needs to be tried!

    Solid 5 stars all round, Norman and his team were so welcoming and the food was first class. 3rd of January and the restaurant was full but service and food were top level. Great choice on the menu and the fillet steak was phenomenal. Definitely should be on everyone’s dining list if looking for a top quality experience In Inverness. Well done everyone at Cafe 1

    It was our second time at the restaurant and it was just as amazing as the first! Staff were so friendly and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be back again!
