Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Amalfi Cucina & Mercato - Downtown Atlanta is a traditional Neapolitan trattoria centered around an open kitchen featuring a 6,000 pound wood-burning brick oven imported from Italy. The 170 seat dining room also has large semicircular booths, custom wrought iron chandeliers along with Juliet balconies overlooking an Italian-inspired entryway.     Overall a great experience. The server was amazing. The bread is to die for. The oysters were delicious. The peel /eat shrimp appetizer was great. The octopus appetizer was great. We also had the she crab soup, the mushroom side, the hushpuppy side. The entrees were the scallops dish and the flounder dish. Overall great. The wait time between dishes seemed very long. Not a place to go if you are on a tight schedule for event after dinner. Suggestion may be to order everything early on and let them glow it. Definitely will be back for oysters and appetizers.

    It was such a wonderful experience with my wife and my 10 year old. We would love do it again. It was outstanding from first moment: talking about valet parking, customer service, food, drinks, atmosphere everything.

    We were met and seated upon arrival. Our server was Rueben, and he was very informative on meals, appetizers and specials etc. He did a great job explaining tastes, food pairings. The food was phenomenal! Tastes and portions were perfect. We couldn’t have asked for better care and service for the entire meal. Highly recommend this location and we will be back!

    Our dinner at Marcel was the best dinner experience I’ve had in 40+ years. The food was excellent but what took it over the top was how hospitable the staff was. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. It was like a family member who wanted to share their food with you. We weren’t rushed and enjoyed just sitting and chatting with ourselves and the staff. They treated everyone like a VIP. I encourage everyone to try Marcel and I’ll gladly recommend it and come back.

    I had a really pleasant experience. I went in to eat for one even though I put one person on the OpenTable reservation. It showed two on their computer so they were unsure. But overall, it looks really great. There was one guy that wasn’t a server but was making sure my drinks were filled, and I had what I needed, which was really great to see the partnership between him and the waiters
