The name “Sassella” comes from a hamlet of 60 residents known for its vineyards near where Chef Cristian Pontiggia grew up.In addition to working at two Michelin Star restaurants in Europe, Lombardy native Chef Cristian Pontiggia has received several awards from La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, an international gastronomic society.     We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Sassella! The food was divine. Service was impeccable and warm. We had a great bottle of Barolo with dinner. It was so nice meeting the chef and owner.

    Wonderful experience for our second time dining at Santacafe. Service was great; right down to the special touches. Food was incredible. Started with Oysters Rockefeller, which were amazing. The server also brought a little taster of the Porcini mushroom soup, which was to die for. For entrees we had the Bolognese and Steak frites; both were perfectly executed. Finished the night perfectly with the toasted marshmallow soft serve for dessert. We will be making this our frequent date spot!

    Excellent in every category. We brought an out of town guest for a wonderful, as always, experience. We had nine tapas plates - old favorites like the kale and shrimp fennel salads, gambas al ajillo, and, tried a few specials like the roasted cauliflower in a barbecue harissa sauce. It's great to be able try so many delicious bites. The ambiance was perfect - I felt like I was in Madrid.

    We loved our experience! Nothing more was needed. Best meal in Santa Fe in four months here in every way. Salad? Entree and dessert all were excellent. Best restaurant in Santa Fe.
