The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. The Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas or perhaps a glass of Champagne, delicate finger sandwiches, warm freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and home-made jam, not to mention our tasty pastries. We had a lovely evening (& overnight stay) & the food & service was so pleasant. We were able to chat & catch up in such pretty & comfortable surroundings. The staff were helpful & pleasant in a very unassumimg way. We have already enquired about rebooking! Barbara

Had a lovely meal, and lovely glass of wine and afterwards bought some healthy food for the larder from the Honestly shop and a lovely bottle of wine for when we got home - great evening out :)

This was an amazing experience. We had a last minute adjustment to our party size (2 instead of 3) and the staff was so accommodating. They were all attentive and kind without being overbearing. The food and drinks were phenomenal, with a lovely view of the grounds. I would absolutely recommend this experience!
