One of the oldest family-run businesses in the nation, now run by the fourth generation, Pete Berghoff. Today's Berghoff menus have evolved to add newer, lighter, and more contemporary dishes, but it's still the same old Berghoff, down to the famous root beer. The Berghoff is a slice of Chicago with the first liquor license after Prohibition. It’s been years since I’ve visited the Berghoff, but the service was great, the venerable old dining room still cozy but brighter and more up-to-date and the German fare as reliably good.

The food was amazing I brought my husband out for his birthday, we truly enjoyed ourselves kudos to the chef. Great customer service for our waitress Ms. Clare. We would highly recommend the food as well as the atmosphere
