Miguel's Cocina is a Mexican restaurant and cantina. One of the primary tenets of this eatery is authenticity. If it can't be ordered south of the border, it's not on Miguel's menu. The restaurant itself opened in 1982 with a few classic recipes and has been consistently growing and expanding ever since. The kitchen staff at Miguel's cocina make almost everything in the restaurant by hand from scratch, including tortillas, salsas and colorful corn chips.Popular starters, or antijidos as the are known on the menu, include the ahi tuna ceviche, carinta flautas and crispy fried calamari with a house jalapaño white sauce.     We had trout and sea bass and both were excellent. Server was great and helpful. For our anniversary a free dessert was offered to share- we chose bread pudding and enjoyed every morsel! We went at 430 on a Monday and the restaurant was very quiet. It was a perfect anniversary meal. I think this will now be our "go to" restaurant!

    This is our favorite restaurant, and we’ve been many times. The outside setting is lovely. From the moment we were greeted at the front, each of the staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious! The presentation was photograph worthy. The portions are just right, as when we were done, about 2 1/2 hours later, we were quite satiated. The attention to detail from our arrival until our departure is why Jeune et Jolie has earned a Michelin star. Lastly, in September, we ate at twice former #1 World’s Top Fifty Restaurants, El Cellar de Can Roca, in Barcelona, which is featured on Netflix’s Chef’s Table. We were given three desserts prepared by Jordi Roca, but the huckleberry violet ice cream dessert at Jeune et Jolie tops them all! Magnificent!

    It was so good the first night, we went back the second night for dinner. Isabella and Nestor were extremely hospitable and served as well. Do not miss the beet salad or the short ribs.
