Over the years I have traveled extensively throughout Italy in search of new ideas, recipes, and great wines to bring back to Three Tomatoes. The source of inspiration continues to be the simple, fresh, healthy and local foods of Trattoria style cooking. Eating in a Trattoria in Italy is like eating with an Italian family. The mood can be relaxed or boisterous, but always friendly. It is a home away from home and a gathering place for friends. I have tried to capture the warmth of the trattoria kitchen with its open fire, the aroma of simmering sauces, roasted meats, grilled fish and pizza baking in our custom built wood fired oven. Our newly revised wine list has been enhanced by selections of distinction and value inspired by attending Vinitaly, Slow Food's Terra Madre and visiting vineyards throughout Italy, Sicily and Sardinia. We come here annually as part of a fall girls’ trip. Wouldn’t miss it. In good weather, the outdoor seating and yard games make it a lively fall experience. This year we ate indoors due to rain. Despite being very busy, our waitress was friendly and fun. Food choices are varied and portions are generous. Their french fries are beer battered and super crispy. Just a fun place to be comfortable, drink great beer and enjoy your favorite comfort foods.

We loved our experience at Kelly Way! The gardens were beautiful to walk around in - especially with a glass of champagne. Walk through the gourd tunnel. The chipmunks running around were very cute to watch. The food was outstanding! Except that the chicken entree was just basic. Thigh and drumstick with skin & bones made it difficult to eat. I was mostly full by then so it didn't matter. My husband just picked it up and gnaw on it. Yes this is expensive but you're paying for the experience as much as for the dinner and wine. We made great friends at our table from different parts of the world and would definitely return!
