The Local Cafe and Restaurant was created to offer experiential learning opportunities for our students. The Local is located on Centennial College, Progress Campus. At The Local, the hospitality, culinary and baking students learn in the restaurant as part of their embedded courses as well as their field placement's under the direction of our Faculty, Chef and Restaurant Technicians. Our menus are inspired by the flavour profiles that represent the incredibly rich diversity of those who call Scarborough home. Exemplary food - different tastes that worked so well together. Very reasonably priced - lovely presentation. Students polite, attentive - instructor nice enough to take the time to ask about our culinary experience. Will definitely tell my friends and plan to return.

Excellent service. From the host, a very plesant young man to the server Steph J, my husband's birthday was amazing. Awesome ambiance. Food was excellent 👌 as usual the chef outdid himself.
