Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber… John Dory, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores and although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name it also has a very British name, John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ – Like a few other Latin occupational names (e.g. Agricola for farmer, Nauta for sailor). Smith being the most common name in English we decided it sits well with our name as we want to be accessible to all and give everyday people the opportunity to be part of our journey and own the business they work in.What sets us apart is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. This means that everything on our menu is fresh, sustainably sourced, and supports the local economy.We believe in creating dishes that are not only delicious but also ethical and responsible.

Situated in the throng of Hammersmith, The Hop Poles is a great choice for any occasion. Organising a meeting or training day and need to use a good-sized function room that doesn’t resemble a matchbox? Fancy some lunch that isn’t a pre packed chilled sandwich, or just parking the car somewhere to avoid that ruddy congestion charge! Our friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and welcoming environment makes The Hop Poles the obvious answer. We have different seating areas and for private function, and roof terrace. We have a great selection of lagers, beers and cask ales.

The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. The idea is to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price.

Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu containing all three elements.
