Red Gravy offers upscale casual modern Italian fare.Chef/Owner Eric Brenner spent his first decade in the industry inside Italian kitchens. Talking up St. Louis' wide-ranging Italian eatery scene, which gets as specific as regional specialties, he says he's wanted to have a place like this since he was 18."We're going to start very simple and accessible," he says, "we'll play to the crowd and start a dialogue, then grow the menu with community input.""Simple," includes dishes like his tomato bisque, with which only has five ingredients. "It's all about the perfect balance. And that gets back to the essence of good Italian food: quality ingredients, very few, in perfect balance."     CS is the best restaurant in Colorado Springs, without a doubt. Their service and food are top notch. Jason is an excellent server and pays attention above and beyond every time we're there. Beef seems to have decreased in quality the past few years, but not so at CS. Their steaks are always done to perfection, tender and delicious. We've never had a poor experience at CS.

    Our experience here was pure magic at Christmastime. Service, ambience, food all wonderful. We will definitely be coming back. Looking forward to dining there in the summertime near the beautiful lake!

    La Taverne at The Broadmoor Hotel is great for an upscale but casual evening out. We celebrated our anniversary there, and it was a special evening. There was a singer/guitarist entertaining guests with Christmas music at just the right volume. The entree selection was varied, and the food was very good. I would say it was not exceptional, but definitely very good. The service, though, was truly exceptional. Highly recommend for an overall lovely experience. Be sure to stroll through the hotel and grounds before or after, especially during the Christmas season.

    On our anniversary, we each ordered the tenderloin dinners. Both were excellent. Top quality meat and sauces were excellent also. Would recommend either one. First time ordering steak, usually have some kind of pasta. It really is the best Italian in the state.
