so happy we discovered this place! the ambience is amazing and the food was equally as good. this will definitely be a place we come to any time we’re in town.

I have been coming here for almost twenty years and have never had a bad meal or experience. My favorite restaurant in Pawleys!

Excellent holiday fare at our first visit to The Independent! Our personable server, Hunter, was totally knowledgeable of cocktail and menu details. Our entrees were cooked to perfection and the crowning glory was the Hummingbird cake dessert. Truly, as good as it gets~ a venue not to be missed!

Our server was wonderful! He knew all about the decor and had great facts! They were also very accommodating. The smaller room got really cold, since people were leaving, so I asked if we can move to the big room, which had more people and was warmer. They looked into it and was able to grant the request. I was sad that the raviolis were sold out. We both had the lamb burgers. They were amazing! Would recommend!

As usual if you want the best ratio quality price you go to Bistro 217 I tried many what they high scale restaurants but nobody touch Bistro for the consistency of quality and creativity of their food. Yesterday we had pecan in crusted halibut it was just superb. Since we are not a big fan of risotto we had it replaced by fingerling potatoes. Their crab soup is more than delicious. Their service is friendly and discreet.
