Offering spectacular, picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean, Sierra Mar restaurant at Post Ranch Inn is a farm-driven restaurant that celebrates the coastal bounty of Big Sur and our neighboring communities. Our dishes are centered around the dialogue of balance: on the plate, between sea and land, with sustainability always in mind. Selections from our Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning wine list enhance the inspired cuisine. We have a family-style lunch experience for $75 per person. Our dinner experience is priced at $175 per person. Lunch and Dinner is available to the general public, however space is limited and reservations in advance are required. The minimum age for guests is 18 years old and pets are not allowed. Non-hotel guests will be welcomed at the gate house no more than 30 minutes prior to their reservation.

The Sur House, at Ventana Big Sur, serves cuisine in an awe-inspiring setting. The restaurant’s warm, rustic interior opens onto its legendary terrace where panoramic views of the ocean and rugged Big Sur coastline stretch for more than 50 miles. The cuisine makes use of the abundance of California’s Central Coast with local, simple, sustainable ingredients, including items from Ventana’s own organic garden.Non-Resort Guests will enjoy a pre-fixed, 3-course menu for $110/per person. A la carte menu not available at this location for dinner service. A 22% Service charge will be added to all checks.

    We celebrated our 21 year anniversary, they gave us personalized menus and our server was wonderful. Everything was delicious but the Chilean Sea Bass is phenomenal. You are packed in close to others and we had a fantastic time listening to the unfiltered conversations around us. A mix between Seinfeld and The Golden Girls. If you stay locally let your hotel know where you are dining and they might have an appetizer coupon for you.

    Wow, wow, wow! The sunset was spectacular. The service was excellent. The food was Michelin star worthy, for sure. The prices, though very high, were well worth a very special experience. Overall, a perfect Christmas dining experience. Hoping to stay a couple of nights this summer. Thank you!

    Went on christmas eve. It was expectedly crowded. Food was awesome. Great service. Its a pricey place, we paid $180 for two people. But we don’t eat out much so it was great! The waitress was very nice, attentive. Not like Il Fornaio in Carmel on Thanksgiving. That place had horrible service!! Tarpys is great!
