Behind an unmarked door adjacent to the wine room, guests are transported to District 1 (China Town) in Saigon via Blackhouse’s 28-seat restaurant-within-a-restaurant, LSXO. A spinoff of the Little Sister brand (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach & Downtown Los Angeles), LSXO is love letter to the culture, heritage, and lineage of Vietnam (Vuong’s relatives hail from the region). While Little Sister is known for its French Vietnamese menu, LSXO follows the same Southeast Asian inspiration with a more refined feel. “There is no signage for LSXO—you can spot the entrance of it tucked into a section inside Bluegold, but you’ll have to know it’s there. While Bluegold is light, bright, and airy, LSXO is its darker, edgier little sister,” says Vuong. “Both restaurants operate out of the same kitchen, though the menus are completely different.     I went there with my boyfriend celebrating our four month anniversary and it was his first time. He was enjoying himself and I’m glad because he never went to this restaurant before. I’m glad he enjoyed the service and the food. Had a great experience and the staff was so friendly and so helpful. And celebrating our anniversary came with a complementary dessert which topped off the evening. You made our anniversary so special. 😊

    We had the BEST experience at Water Grill! The service was incredible (& super helpful with reco’s… also noted that we were there for a Bday and made it very special). The food was perfect, so delicious. The ambience was everything I could have wished for. We will be back!

    We were able to get a reservation for dining within 20 minutes of when we first looked at availability which allowed us to get there quick, with no waiting. We were able to get window table and were seated as soon as we arrived. Food was very good and service was exceptional. The noise level was higher than we prefer, but this is a very popular restaurant for larger groups, so the noise was not unexpected.

    Really nice vibe for an anniversary date night. I got the salmon which was fabulous and my boyfriend got the highly recommended El Churrasco. He was not impressed with the churrasco quite expensive for what it was. We also got the chicken empanadas as an appetizer and it was his favorite part of the meal. Overall the vibes were nice and staff was kind.
