Sasa is a Japanese inspired restaurant in Walnut Creek. Izakaya Restaurants are traditional small plate restaurants where friends go to have a drink and unwind after a long day. Montecatini is a stable for Walnut Creek as it opened October 17, 1989, the day of the Loma Prieta earthquake in California. Since then, Montecatini Ristorante has become a place for "regulars" to enjoy a true Italian dining experience. We are a loud and bustling environment where many have come to say we're like family. All our dishes are meticulously prepared with the finest and freshest ingredients. Our pastas and entrees are served piping hot from our kitchen to your table. Montecatini has been awarded "Best of East Bay" for Best Italian Restaurant in the East Bay Area by Diablo Magazine for several years.     The tacos were fantastic. I had a lobster taco & a shrimp taco. The shrimp taco was out of this world. My husband had a chicken taco & a filet mignon taco. They were both delicious, but he preferred the chicken. Our normal server was not in today, and even though the restaurant was pretty slow, our server took a very long time between visits to the table. My husband had to go to the hostess station to tell them we were ready to order.

    It’s a churrascaria, so you can’t really go wrong. You get all the same delicious meat options as most others like picanha, top sirloin, ribeye, and filet mignon etc. A few things that they have that others don’t are salmon, candied bacon, cheesy garlic bread and grilled cheese and honey. The chicken drumsticks were seasoned differently than the other places too so definitely try that out. The signature juices are absolutely delicious as is everything here. Only complaint is the price is a bit high, $190 for my 11 y/o and I. I’m use to paying about $120 or maybe a little less for us. But overall it was a really lovely experience.

    We came to celebrate our daughter's birthday, and everything was awesome -- food, servers, manager, cashier in the prize section. Everyone we encountered was so helpful and friendly, even providing a birthday candle when we forgot ours.

    Typically never leave a review but our service was amazing! Went in for drinks & appetizers, I have never had a bad experience at BJs, also love that I can reserve a table online! Makes it quick & easy.
