Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says.     The experience today when celebrating my mom’s birthday was nothing short of stellar. The menu had “happy birthday” printed on it, the table was decorated, and my mom left with fresh biscotti as a parting gift. The food is always spectacular and some of my favorite meals I’ve ever have been from here!!

    We wanted a nice place to celebrate our anniversary and chose Ray's on the River based on previous experiences. We were not disappointed. The hostesses pleasantly greeted us, our server (Luis) was very attentive to our every need / request, the scenery (sitting at the window gazing at the Chattahoochee River) beautiful and the food spectacular. We had one request regarding the menu and the chef was more than accommodating. A delightful evening, and we're grateful to Ray's for helping make it so.

    We enjoyed The Select for their Christmas Eve Prix Fixe. We had the trout and vegan plate and loved both. The sorbet and pear tart were excellent. The Reindeer Don’t Drink mocktail was delicious. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and our waitstaff was highly attentive!
