Located on Charleston's Upper King Street, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves rustic Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With community tables, an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can accommodate 100 guests for a casual night of food and drinks. The wine list is focused on affordable Italian varietals, the Negroni cocktail is on tap, and the fresh sodas are made in-house. The massive wooden doors on Upper King Street are your first indication that Indaco is different from the typical Charleston restaurant. Rustic details continue inside with butcherblock tables, lime-wash walls, and white brick. An open kitchen with nearby community tables lets interested diners keep an eye on the action inside the kitchen. O-Ku, a Japanese restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina, is a triumph of execution and concept.     Initially we thought we would not have a good experience due to the location of our table. But after our waiter found out it Was our 36 anniversary he moved us to the main room where the ambience the Christmas lights was More appealing and enjoyable for our celebration.

    My husband and I sat at the bar and was surprised by how amazing their happy hour was! From drink specials including Negronis and manhattans. Then the food was incredible we had the Cesar salad, prosciutto tray, meatballs and pizza! All fresh ingredients and made to perfection. ALL on happy hour!

    El lugar es clásico y elegante, el servicio estupendo y los alimentos buenos, en particular los callos de hacha y los mejillones. La gallinita de Guinea no fue de lo mejor. Si lo recomendaría y sobre todo me parece un clásico de Charleston.

    Oku=slay Food is amazing, second time visiting from Asheville and both times they make me wonder why we don’t have a Japanese restaurant like this back at home. Our server was perfect, she didn’t feel the need to smother us by coming up every 5 minutes and asking us how everything was which was a plus. She was able to give us some really good recommendations on vegetarian options (which more than most have to offer) it was a really welcoming experience. The food was really well done. plating was beautiful, food times were fast, and the deserts we tried were amazing. Little improvement is that if they played as much edm, they could have been playing more charli xcx. Iykyk
