Quiessence is a fine dining, true farm to table restaurant located at The Farm at South Mountain, a 10 acre oasis by South Mountain. We have a 2 acre organic garden onsite that we utilize as much as possible for our dishes. Our menu changes regularly based on local and seasonal availability. We offer tasting menus with the option of doing 3, 4 or 5 courses. The restaurant itself is housed in the original farmhouse of the property giving the restaurant plenty of rustic charm. Patio dining is also highly sought after when the weather is nice.

Arizona's Original Steakhouse. Step through the copper entry doors and feel the warm authentic atmosphere of this classic American Steakhouse. Once adjacent to the largest feedlot in the world, the restaurant is a living history museum that documents Arizona's cattle industry with historical photos and a Western Art collection. Established in 1947, The Stockyards has been serving the best hand-cut aged steaks and prime rib for 70 years.     Walked in late for our reservation, the staff kindly greeted and sat us, from the entry to our dessert the experience was one of the best I’ve had in the past 15 years of downtown dinning. The attention from the staff as group in the entire restaurant was truly a testament to the culture that has been created at the Arrogant Butcher. We look forward to our next experience.     Absolutely wonderful! Our waiter was so attentive and kind. We celebrated our anniversary and he made it extra special with congratulations and a sweet treat. His food recommendations were spot on. We are definitely going back.

    Our server was amazing. The host stand was a 2/5. Not very pleasant and couldn’t be bothered but the server definitely made up for it as we were worried that the start of our experience at the front was setting the tone. Lucky us our server was a 10/10 and the food was delicious!

    We had a wonderful experience. The sunset was gorgeous. The bread they started with was so yummy. Our server was incredibly sweet and informative on the food. We started with the gnocchi, which was phenomenal. It just melted in your mouth. We got the Salmon and Filet Mignon with the Mac and Cheese and Brussel Sprouts as sides. Best salmon I've ever had, steak was perfect. Sides were great. Berry Limeade cocktail super tasty. They also brought out a little mini cheesecake for my husband's birthday with a little candle. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to go celebrate his birthday.
