Executive Chef Zack Mills creates a seasonal menu that showcases oysters from our farm in St. Jerome’s Creek, Southern Maryland — raw, roasted, and in signature dishes like Classic Rockefeller and French Onion Oysters. But, the oysters are just the beginning. Our award winning menu celebrates the bounty of the Chesapeake region by using locally sourced seafood, meat, and produce to create exquisite dishes that evolve with the seasons. Chef Mills has been featured extensively for his use of invasive seafood species, a very delicious way to help the Chesapeake Bay.     Was seated right away even tho I was early and part of my party wasn’t there. Great service. Greeted promptly. Everyone was friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed, inviting. This is our second time going for Christmas Eve and will definitely be back to be able to sit outside in the warmer months. Food was delicious and inventive. Loved the hand crafted drinks. All in all a great experience.

    Have been to Gertrude's a few times and it has always been enjoyable. This visit was, as expected, just as memorable. The original cocktail was interesting and wonderfully flavorful. The other classic cocktail was expertly mixed and was like a visit from an old friend. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. What really made the night complete was the charming and helpful server, Grace. No matter how good food and drink is, a restaurant either succeeds or fails based on the quality of the service. Fortunately, this restaurant has staff as lovely and accommodating as Grace. Thank you all for a wonderful birthday dinner.
