In the heart of downtown Healdsburg, one of the country’s most accomplished chefs Kyle Connaughton, along with farmer and wife Katina Connaughton, host guests at SingleThread Farm-Restaurant-Inn, a 55-seat fine dining restaurant with five exclusive suites above the restaurant. The farm, located on 24 acres in the historic Dry Creek Valley, supplies vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers and honey, to their restaurant. Guests of the restaurant are treated to a 10-course tasting menu, showcasing the seasonal bounty from the couple’s farm. SingleThread provides guests a bespoke hospitality experience in the center of Sonoma Wine Country.

At The Matheson's third floor, adventurous cocktails are crafted from innovative spirits and seasonal fruits, flowers, and herbs. The Mugnaini wood-fired oven kindles small plates that spark the palate (and conversations). Outdoor, open-air seating amidst planters and fire-pits elevate our buzzing garden perch.     We were greeted warmly at the door for our 5pm reservation and allowed to select out table. We sat at the booth on the left - very cozy. We had the foie gras and scallops appetizers- both were wonderful. For dinner my husband had the special beef bourguignon which was flavorful and tender. I had the special lobster pasta which could have had more lobster but what I had was very good. We will be returning!

    If you visit Healdsburg- make sure you make a reservation at this little gem of a restaurant. The food is fresh and authentic, the service is prompt and engaging and the value is great! We are local to Healdsburg and don’t dine out a lot but when we do, we always make a reservation here…. It’s definitely special 🥂
