Appalachia Restaurant brings an upscale-casual experience to an intimate setting. With stunning views and a cuisine that offers an Appalachian flair, you will be immersed with the true spirit of Lake Lure. Dinner at the restaurant begins at 4:30pm.We bring the Appalachian heritage from the outdoors in while dining in front of the stunning 525 million year old mountains. Inside, outside, or bar room dining, you will have a gorgeous view of Lake Lure and the Appalachian mountains. Boats Slips are first come, first serve. Due to the small volume of tables, we cannot accept preferred table/view requests. Dress Code: No swimwear or coverups, must have shoes.

Stable Café is open from 4PM to 8pm daily for guests of Biltmore Estate.Biltmore tickets or an annual pass are required to visit all restaurants on the estate. For seasonal evening events, dinner reservations for all the guests in the party must have an evening-specific ticket or be an estate lodging guest. Dinner menu is a three-course, prefix menu.The convenient location next to Biltmore House, friendly hospitality, and delectable food make the Stable Café a popular stop after visits to the house and gardens. The Bistro is located on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate, right next door to Biltmore's award-winning winery. Please be aware that you must have a valid paid estate admission ticket, be staying at Inn on Biltmore Estate or Village Hotel, or be a Biltmore Annual Passholder to dine on property. Please note that due to limited seating availability we are unable to accept reservations for our patio. All patio seating is assigned on a first come first served basis. The Bistro features contemporary American fare. Fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients are the focus on the dinner menu, which features premium steaks, impeccable mountain trout and seafood, poultry and lamb. Gardens on the estate produce a wide array of vegetables and fruits throughout the seasons, and our extensive pasture lands provide all-natural, hormone-free Black Angus beef and lamb.

    Great restaurant in downtown Hendersonville, super great server, she was very good in all aspects of service, the food was great and they went out of their way for our 29th anniversary. If you're looking for a great place this is it.

    What a great find! Hadn't heard about this place, but stumbled upon it on Open Table. Had no idea what to expect as it was a bit of a hike for us to get there for a Tuesday date night. We couldn't have been more delighted! Cozy atmosphere with big roaring fire, lovely bar setting, and communal tables. We arrived at 7:15pm so couldn't see the outside setting which would be nice in daylight. Service was amazing by Michael with great descriptions about the food. We had the duck rillettes and bok choy appetizers -- both amazing, could eat that bok choy every day! My husband had the bouillabaise and I had the braised short ribs again both full of flavor! Chef Daniel came out to say hello and gave us some background on the place. Warm, cozy, great food, personable -- couldn't have asked for more! We'll be back!

    This restaurant blew our expectations away. Menu choices are appropriately limited, and the food is exceptional. I mean....WOW level of exceptional. The service couldn't have been better. Very responsive and attentive. The restaurant is inside what was an old Biltmore Estate horse barn. Such a great experience. Honestly, the best restaurant we've been to in Asheville.

    The Bistro was very delicious! We had an early dinner before our Candlelight tour of Biltmore House. The Burrata was a great appetizer, with pesto and focaccia. My husband and I both got the Filet Mignon and it was one of the best we’ve ever had! Followed by the flourless chocolate cake to share. Definitely recommend this spot on the Biltmore Estate!
