Widely acclaimed as one of the hardest reservations in America, Rao's New York was established in 1896 and has not moved locations since its inception. In 2024, the original location of Petit Trois, on Highland Ave in Hollywood, celebrates 10 years as a beloved, can't miss part of LA's dining scene. Chef/Owner Ludo Lefebvre puts his spin on classic French flavors including the cult-favorite Big Mec burger, swimming in rich Bordelaise sauce, perfectly roasted Heritage chicken with compressed potatoes fried in clarified butter, a French Dip sandwich served with a version of the restaurant's onion soup for dipping, and lots more. Start with the restaurant's housemade baguette served with the creamiest French butter and pair it all with wine from the restaurant's thoughtfully curated list, which includes 16 by the glass options. With a design inspired by classic Parisian bistros, Petit Trois transports guests in its 2 dining areas as well as an outdoor patio. The dining room is also available for private events.

    I’ve been here several times and have also ordered takeout. Each time is a wonderful experience. The food is great, the service is great, and the ambience is wonderful and warm. When the owner is there, he’ll make his rounds to each table to say hello/welcome and make you laugh. I love this place.

    First time to the cafe! Traveling from New Orleans and we loved our experience! Our waiter was the sweetest, helped us with any questions and was perfect the whole time we were there! Definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!!!

    To dine at Musso & Frank’s Grill is to have an experience like no other in LA: old world style, dishes that have long since disappeared from the menus of any other of its competitors and the pleasure of knowing that one is dining in a space that has probably catered for virtually every great name ever to have graced Hollywood in the course of the past century. Look beyond the cheap and tawdry pseudo glamour of the rest of the Hollywood strip and allow yourself the pleasure of an authentic experience you will never forget, long after the memory of all the dross of the surrounding razzmatazz has faded into oblivion. Worth every penny twice over.
