Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. The interior is multi-faceted, with a black slate tiled traditional dining room, a gorgeous 14 person capacity wooden sushi bar, a semi private "tatami" room which holds 12 people, a larger 25 person private dining room, an enclosed "back patio" casual dining room complete with tropical garden, a black concrete liquor bar with custom sake cocktails and fusion traditional cocktails. The variety of atmospheres allows for a different experience with every visit, and the vastness and quality of the menu does the same.     What an amazing little spot in Beacon Hill! I have driven past so many times and always heard really good things but this is truely a gem! The food was amazing they waiter had great reccomendations and they genuinely seemed like they cared about our experience. It was so personable and lovely. The place was super full when we arrived as well which I am really not surprised about. So reservations are advisable!

    This is one legendary restaurant that lives up to its legend. The food is out of this world. The service is brilliant. The room with a view is spectacular and the room in the lounge is cozy. This is a go-to place for special occasions. Thank you to Jackie, Jeannie and the whole staff who greeted us and our special guest so warmly.

    The food, as always, was wonderful. My o Lu complaint is the timing of the food coming out of the kitchen. Everything came at the same time! We ordered pita and spreads. We thought those would come first and we could enjoy them with our first glass of wine. As it was - everything arrived together. Not ideal. We ordered espresso with our dessert. It came and then we waited and waited for dessert. Espresso was cold by the time it came out. They could work on their timing!
