Berner and Brown is the oldest tapas bar in the city and is located in the new cathedral district of Magdeburg. Magdeburg Cathedral, the Museum of Cultural History, Hegelstraße and the Elbe River are not far from us. Typical? Tapas! Courage! "...typical Spanish?", "...real Spanish?, "...standard?" We interpret and combine Northern Spanish Mediterranean cuisine in our own way, turning it into refreshing, delicious, modern and sometimes surprising creations. With over 20 vegan items, plant-based eaters are also well taken care of at our restaurant. Berner and Brown is a small, cozy and modern eatery with creative tapas and an extensive menu of Spanish wines and sherries.

Qilin is a contemporary Asian cuisine restaurant that serves healthy and wholesome dishes inspired by Vietnam, Japan and Thailand cuisine. We checked in and they couldn’t find our reservation, so we had to sit outside. When eating dinner, my husband and I don’t like eating in the heat. The food was very good and the steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was very attentive too. Open Table only lets you make a reservation for 1, the hostess didn’t seem to care that the site wasn’t working properly. I would return if I can get a reservation for inside dining
