Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boom­box, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Continuing past the pawnshop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier, but only the adventurous will discover all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. With four distinct dining rooms (one private), two bars, a lounge, and a women’s bathroom complete with a salon including a luxurious sofa, and antique perfume bottles. The cuisine, much like the design, is intended to set a new course. Chef Chris Santos was one of the pioneers of the small, share plate dining trend that has swept the nation, and with the Beauty & Essex menu, he once again has created waves on the food scene.

Wildair is a New York Restaurant founded by Chef Jeremiah Stone and Fabian von Hauske. Our style of dining is fun, loud and really energetic. Our tables are high tops and all our food is meant to be shared with everyone. Top Chef contestant Leah Cohen's Pig and Khao (68 Clinton Street) on the Lower East Side.     Last week, I went to Wabi Nori with my sister, and we were completely enchanted! The atmosphere was so peaceful that we felt like we were in Japan. The wooden details on the walls and the traditional Japanese lamps were stunning. As for the food, the sweet soy shrimp tempura roll was our absolute favorite. The staff was very kind and provided detailed information about the dishes. Service was incredibly fast. The green tea mochi balls we had for dessert were also perfect. I will definitely come back

    We always have a great time at Bar Contra. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Small plates from wild air are delicious and the cocktails are creative and there is something for every one. Theo is the best! We always try to sit at the bar when him and his colleague are there, usually on Fridays. Will be coming back repeatedly

    We had a great experience at Beauty and Essex! We ordered 8 items for 5 people and had plenty of food. Highlights were apple and kale salad, tomato soup and grilled cheese dumplings, strip steak and mushroom ravioli. Service was fantastic and ambience was fabulous. Expensive but worth it!

    Seriously the Essex Burger is the best burger I've ever had. Ate at the bar. Great beer selection (KCBC IPA) and friendly service. Will be back!
