The Pink Adobe restaurant stands proudly in the heart of Santa Fe's historic Barrio De Analco neighborhood, which is considered the oldest neighborhood in the US. Founded in 1944 by Rosalea Murphy, an artist and social connector, the restaurant takes its name from the rose-colored adobe plastering on the nearly 400-year-old hacienda that serves as its home. Originally from Mexico City, Chef Fernando Olea, formerly Chef of Epazote, has been enthralling diners in Santa Fe since 1991. Chef Olea creates sophisticated flavors using Old Mexico’s indigenous and culinary traditions alongside ingredients from around the world. His menu is deliberately small, featuring fresh and locally sourced produce and meats when possible.Nothing evokes the mystery of Mexican cuisine more than mole, a sauce of complex flavors that usually includes toasted and ground spices, seeds, nuts, chocolate and chile. Many mole recipes contain more than thirty ingredients and some recipes have five varieties of chile alone. Chef Olea is delighted to share his moles that include his "New Mexican Mole" that he created to commemorate Santa Fe’s 400 year anniversary in 2009. The large mural in the main dining room, was painted and presented to Chef Olea by Federico Leon De La Vega, a well- known artist from Mexico City.

The name “Sassella” comes from a hamlet of 60 residents known for its vineyards near where Chef Cristian Pontiggia grew up.In addition to working at two Michelin Star restaurants in Europe, Lombardy native Chef Cristian Pontiggia has received several awards from La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, an international gastronomic society.     Thanksgiving was so special that we decided to go for Christmas, too, and, I think New Year's Eve is a good possibility. The food is always special and delicious (today - oysters Rockefeller and stuffed quail with a light cherry sauce and for the main bison and miso crusted halibut in miso broth . . . and . . . banana cream and pecan pie; those were our choices). The house really has its act TOGETHER - from reception to general manager to the various wait staff posts. Every person knows her position and does it very well!

    Great Christmas Eve dinner at Horno - great service, delicious food, reasonable prices. Only minor issue is that there arent many vegetarian/pescatarian options, although we all found dishes we were happy with.

    Party of 5, Christmas Eve dinner. Drinks were great, food was delicious, and our waiter Edgar was Great. The Christmas decorations were so festive and cheerful. All around fantastic night!

    We went based on a recommendation about it being good for gluten free (my partner, whose birthday it was). Mentioned it to our server and she said she’d let us know if anything we ordered wasn’t gluten free. We ordered way too much but couldn’t help ourselves. Every damn dish was amazing. Our server was super helpful and personable. Atmosphere was great too! Would highly recommend!

    This is one of the best meals I've had in a few years. I'd call this approachable gastronomy. The dishes are inventive and refined, but delicious and relatable. The Sopa de Amor is probably what surprised me the most. An unexpectedly perfect combination of flavors and textures. Special mentions also for Chef Olea's original mole and the great selection of Mexican wines. With staff who deliver world-class service while remaining down to earth and honoring any special request and art-filled spaces that are cozy and engaging, Sazon gave us an experience we won't soon forget!
