Please see the menu link below to see an example of our offerings.Partners Matt Kelly and Josh “Skinny” DeCarolis are proud to offer Mothers & Sons, a trattoria in downtown Durham featuring regional Italian food with seasonal sensibility. DeCarolis introduces the first restaurant in the South to focus on fatta a mano —handmade pasta. Mothers and Sons offers antipasti dishes such seasonal bruschettas or smoked octopus. Choose from primi dishes like the bucatini al amatriciana, squid ink tonnarelli or rigatoni alla norma and secondi dishes like the bistecca alla floretina and eggplant parmigiana.     The food is absolutely delicious. Everything we had from the catch of the day to the Butter Chicken was melt in your mouth goodness. Great service and yummy cocktails.

    My husband and I loved the bright light coming in from the windows, the quiet ambience, the sincerely attentive service and the extremely tasty freshly cooked food. Plus the brown butter pot de creme was amazing! I had the General Tso's Chicken and it was perfectly spiced with the best braised cabbage leaves. Delicious! Well worth the price for all that we enjoyed. We will definitely visit again and regularly.

    Celebrated our anniversary at Little Bull. The food was amazing, portions are not large for small plates, so I recommend 2 to 3 per person. Delicious options, the scallop crudo and tuna rolls were favorites. Save room for the donuts…..a perfect dessert. Cannot wait to visit again.

    My wife and I treated our older son, Dr. Thompson, and his twins (girl and boy!) to lunch there today for their, the twins, 19th birthday. We had eaten there several tines in the past as our daughter graduated from Duke, and we always enjoyed eating there. We have always been very pleased there!!
