Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Amalfi Cucina & Mercato - Downtown Atlanta is a traditional Neapolitan trattoria centered around an open kitchen featuring a 6,000 pound wood-burning brick oven imported from Italy.     Had a very nice dinner with visiting family. We were seated out in the atrium area which is nice except we were near the bar area and they played the music a little loud. So it was hard to hear conversations at the table at times. That was our only negative. Our server was extremely nice , friendly and knew what she was doing. Everyone enjoyed their meals and desserts. All staff we met there were very friendly and helpful. They have decorated the atrium for Christmas with a very large tree. We had a toddler with us and they were very gracious and helped us get some great photos in front of the tree.

    We made reservations at the Sun Dial to celebrate my eldest daughter’s birthday and they made our experience so special! The views are incredible of course, the food is phenomenal, and our server, Anna, was so engaging and kind and my girls absolutely loved her so much!

    I apologize for not remembering the name of our server. Hopefully you can look this up under our reservation. But that gentleman, overheard me discussing my birthday and the birthday of my daughter. He brought us free dessert, wished me a happy birthday, knowing my daughter was not at the dinner with us, and wish both of us a wonderful birthday and a happy life. He was wonderful.

    We dine at Rays in the city anytime we’re in town for a convention. The food and service are always wonderful. Their seafood is the best, IMO. Calamari is to die for and although they charge for the bread basket now, you must have it. So good!
