Mauro Chiecchio, executive chef of Alfredo Di Roma, was born in Vicoforte, Italy. He did his culinary studies at the Instituto Professionale Alberghiero. The place gained popularity because of its Onion Soup and other dishes prepared with pork meat, this united with its continuous service 24 hours a day. Years later, Grupo Presidente decided to bring this concept to Mexico City. Since then, Au Pied de Cochon keeps on delighting its customers with the traditional French cuisine that represents it.     Un muy buen lugar el servicio y la atención fue muy bueno por parte de Fernando nuestro mesero. La comida cumple pero le falta algo, por ejemplo las conchas se ven mejor de lo que saben, el café le falta aroma uno espera un buen café para desayunar.

    Spectacular experience. Classy and fun. Every course is a work of art. Our waitstaff were impressive and attentive without being overbearing. Great music at the right decibel level for engaging conversation at your table. Every so often, the staff breaks out in song and clapping—bongos and more. But it’s done in a very classy, fun way. Arroyo, our waiter, was wonderful. Beautiful atmosphere too.

    La cena en Au Pied de Cochon fue una experiencia impecable. Probé la sopa de cebolla, rica y reconfortante, seguida del coq au vin, un platillo extraordinario con carne perfectamente cocida y una salsa llena de sabor. Las croquetas de queso fueron una delicia crujiente por fuera y cremosa por dentro. Para cerrar la velada, la crème brûlée fue simplemente perfecta: un caramelo dorado y crujiente que daba paso a una crema suave y deliciosa. Todo fue 10 de 10, desde los sabores hasta la atención del personal y el ambiente cálido del restaurante. Sin duda, regresaré pronto para disfrutar de esta calidad gastronómica.
