The building has been constructed around the year 1850.The main aim was to respect the history of the building. When Mr. George and his wife Maria decided after more than 50 years of experience in cooking and restaurant business to create "Gods' Restaurant" they couldn't have not respected these principles. At the family - owned "Gods' Restaurant" you will feel right at home with rustic and hospitable atmosphere. Mrs. Maria and their two sons along with the executive chef create authentic recipes from all over Greece, like grape leaves, the famous lamb "kleftiko", cheese pie with honey & Greek kebab “Sheftalia”. There are also some unique dishes which you can hardly find elsewhere, such as ravioli stuffed with beef & spices with red pepper & yoghurt-mint sauce, slow-cooked goat with pappardelle pasta, Cretan macaroni "skioufichta" and the caramelized octopus

Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. A tiramisu is a must here accompanied by a single estate espresso. Outside seating is available all year round in the courtyard of St George church

    We chose the wine pairing with meat menu. This meal was a treat for all the senses! The setting, the plate presentation, detailed explanations from staff, flavour combinations, textures, and above all, the TASTE! It was a captivating introduction to Athens. We enjoyed the experience immensely and would highly recommend the restaurant.

    We had a great time eating here. We are from the US. they had a ton of vegan and dairy free options on the menu. The menu was super easy to order from being both in Greek and in English so if you are a traveler who doesn’t speak Greek like me don’t worry! The staff is also fluent in English !! The food was great!

    Lovely setting, warm and practical service, very good food, helpful wine steward. Beef tartar was excellent, pork and cabbage was delicious, salads were out of this world, beef with pasta was yummy but not hot. Overall, a wonderful rooftop experience with an amazing view.

    Nice location on a corner . Very attentive wait staff . Souvlaki and Gyro ordered with the spinach salad … good food and great portions . Negroni was fabulous
