Food was delicious. Service a little slow, especially getting initial beverages. Our request for seating was granted, which was very nice. Ambiance seemed a little more chaotic than normal but recognized there was some new staff training going on. Overall, lively evening and we will be back.

As always, Okura did not disappoint! The Lobster Roll is simply amazing!! There were 6 of us and we ate til we waddled!! Everything was fantastic!! Servers, food, timeliness!!! Perfect, Perfect, Perfect. And they were packed full!!! Will be back, again and again!

Be aware that during the holiday season there are a lot of large noisy groups that take away the special ambiance of Arnie's. Better to come in last spring and early fall or book a later time to eat like after 8:00.

We booked fairly last minute and could only get a 9PM seating, and the table was not ready when we arrived at 9. We took seats at the bar and had good cocktails. Their sake menu is not extensive, but there were delicious choices; the unfiltered one was great. After about 15 minutes, we were seated. The server (and in fact every staff member who visited the table) was knowledgable and helpful. The food, served family-style, was fantastic; particularly good was the black cod with miso. I loved the eggplant with spicy miso too. The mushroom soup was superb (and enough for 2 people).

Our first time to Lavender’s, and we throughly enjoyed our evening experience. We were greeted by managers as we entered, took us to the patio and thanked us for being there, that’s a surprise these days! Great service by all the staff, nice live music and the atmosphere was comfortable. Nice menu, served as we requested and didn’t feel rushed. It was a birthday dinner for my wife and they had a nice card and little gift at our table. We plan to make Lavender’s part of our ‘rotation’ for dinner spots……
