Shinsei Restaurant - Traditional Sushi / Contemporary Asian KitchenWhen we came up with the concept of Shinsei we wanted a place that reflected our lifestyles: sometimes we went out to dinner with our kids and sometimes with our friends and husbands. We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish. Our signature poppers, for instance, are a sophisticated mix of late night bar food and sumptuous finger food with a distinctly Asian flair.

Hailing from Florence, Italy, Adelmo Banchetti started his career in the food and beverage world at the tender age of 16.     This was my second visit to Shinsei and I think it was better than the first visit! Our waitress was amazing!! It seemed she had been there a while and knew everything!! I loved her! We started with the pork dumplings and Hamachi and Pear appetizer along with Katina’s Sticky Rice…I think the sticky rice was my favorite with Hamachi coming in a close second!! We also tried the Coconut Chicken Jalapeño Poppers. For dinner I had the miso plat cod and my husband had the baby back ribs, absolutely everything was delicious. My Seabass was cooked to perfection and of course for dessert I had cotton candy. I mean is there a better dessert? LOL

    Can’t wait to return. The food and service were excellent. Went for Sunday lunch. My husband loved the chicken pot pie. Our friend’s pizza was delicious. My Mediterranean salad with rotisserie was a winner!

    Lovers Seafood is a favorite of ours. Great vibrant ambiance but still intimate. The food and service are always consistently great. Patrick is a terrific server - professional, attentive and personable.
