Shinsei Restaurant - Traditional Sushi / Contemporary Asian KitchenWhen we came up with the concept of Shinsei we wanted a place that reflected our lifestyles: sometimes we went out to dinner with our kids and sometimes with our friends and husbands. We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish. Our signature poppers, for instance, are a sophisticated mix of late night bar food and sumptuous finger food with a distinctly Asian flair.

Hailing from Florence, Italy, Adelmo Banchetti started his career in the food and beverage world at the tender age of 16. His work took him all over the world from ships to hotels, and finally, Dallas, Texas , where he worked at the legendary Fairmont Hotel’s Pyramid Room, the Mansion On Turtle Creek, and the Crescent Court Hotel. In 1989, he and his wife Eliza, who hails from the Mediterranean region, opened Adelmo’s Ristorante to rave reviews. Their love of family, friends, good food and wines is reflected, to this day, at Adelmo’s. We feature cuisine inspired by the Italian/ Mediterranean region as well as the herbs, spices and grains indigenous to its shores. Made with the freshest ingredients. Now, the tradition continues with their children Andrew and Lauren on board .     Perch is one of our favorite restaurants in 2024. The only thing that could make it more perfect is a solid door separator for the bar to the restaurant. The food is amazing, never disappoints. The service is top notch and they work as a team which is nice to see. The restaurant is great for special occasions or just an excellent dinner out.

    We always have such a fun time when we go to Doughbird. The wait staff is experienced and friendly. We had Lauren on our last visit and she makes it so fun. Everything on the menu is good. If we want to sit in a quieter spot we choose a booth behind the hostess stand.

    Our cocktails were excellent esp my spicy margarita . The fried shrimp appetizer was delicious . We split the wedge salad also great. We had rhe bacon cheeseburger and fish & chips both outstanding . The fries which came with both entrees are large portions and superb ! The chocolate dessert also amazing. .

    Excellent experience. Lunchtime parking was readily available at 11:45. I was seated promptly and, as indicated by the valet parking lot, there were few other diners. Surprising because I think the place is generally pretty busy, but I went on 12/23. I had the blackened Texas redfish. It was piping hot when it was served and was excellent. Service was excellent (there when we needed it but not overbearing). Price was reasonable for fresh seafood. Recommended. Excellent place for fresh seafood.
