Named for the year that Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort now stands, 1796 Room has now been re-launched as a signature steak and chophouse, serving steaks, chops, fish and poultry of the highest quality. 1796 uses only the highest quality 21-day aged USDA prime beef. Our meats are prepared at 1700° on our infrared broiler ensuring juiciness, tenderness and flavor. All entrées are served with our signature grilled artichoke, and “shared” side dishes are available à la carte along with a tasty dessert selection freshly prepared in-house by our pastry team. When asking if coffee was fresh the server stated that it was same from lunch (3hrs prior,) She did not offer to make a new pot and had to settle for ice tea. Never asked to refill drinks. Good grief, how difficult would be to get a fresh cup of coffee. Ended up getting coffee later on casino floor.

Reserved an igloo for 8 people. Was available upon arrival. Igloo was charming. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient. Food was terrific. Findley wine was great. Draft beers were very good. It was an outstanding experience.
