Nothing delights quite like The Orator, serving up contemporary British food, cocktails, beer and wine. Set in a stunning Victorian gothic venue with high ceilings bathed in swathes of natural light.     Amazing food and service. One lady a bit sharp and needs to have a bit of training on high class service but everyone else amazing. Menu was huge , we had the festive menu which was very good. Wine expensive but great. Would go again and again Had drink at bar after. The staff let it down nut we were still happy- take a long time to be noticed and served then we had to wave them down to pay the bill, too interested in putting cling film over the taps and counting stock ( all 4 of them ).

    We booked for 8 for a Christmas Eve brunch. Our table was perfect, tucked away in an alcove with a beautiful view. Great service, good food, a delightful experience all in all and a great start to Christmas celebrations!

    Very finely cooked dishes, we mainly had sharing plates and the raw scallops were to die for. Young waitress Bea was superb, great advice and so attentive. Atmosphere could maybe have been improved with more appropriate Japanese music instead of the standard pop which at times was too noisy. Visiting Cambridge and will definitely seek out other Kibou restaurants elsewhere.

    The food and cocktails were delicious, but what made this evening so special were the staff (our waitress was particularly fabulous, so wish I'd got her name) and the overall atmosphere. Gorgeous seating, lovely furniture, a variety of areas to eat, drink and socialise. The history of the building and pictures on the wall were a great talking point. The ability to play the piano, just made it! We will be back. Thanks so much :-)
