Ellis Square Social is a neighborhood restaurant and craft cocktail bar located in historic Ellis Square, in the heart of downtown Beverly. Our Depression era building features a bustling dining room, with an authentic tin ceiling, reclaimed wood floor, period lighting, and tufted banquette, providing a warm and comfortable space for an evening out. Casual diners have the choice to seat at our beautiful cast pewter bar for a classic cocktail or craft beer as well as high tops around the bar and counter seating on the window overlooking Cabot Street. A&B Burgers is one of those restaurants, one that has transitioned into a dining scene based around hospitality, creative menus and a space driven by the energy of the bar. Not everyone feels like eating a burger and with that in mind, we built a menu that offers options for those times. We have guests who have been dining with us for 8 years now and have never eaten one of our award-winning burgers, instead, they enjoy sharing a few small plates to start and then order entrees with a bottle of wine. Just because we are so well known for our award-winning burgers doesn’t mean that’s all we do well. You’ll need to come in and experience this for yourselves and we promise you it will be worth it!veryone isn’t looking for the same casual restaurant experience that is so common these days.     Overall a great experience food choices were great everyone in our parties seem to enjoy what they got, waitress was the right amount of of help without being overbearing, asked a couple of opinions of her and she was eager to suggest.

    Went with 3 friends on a Friday night at 7pm for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was perfect! Cozy and festive, holiday music playing at an enjoyable decibel. We were treated with a round of limoncello because we were celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. It was a busy night but we were never rushed and allowed to take our time. 10/10.

    Wonderful food. Can’t say enough good things about the staff. Big shout out to Aaron! Seated quickly with a 6:15 reservation. It got busy quickly after that but no chaos. Next time I may just have the onion dip and homemade chips for dinner! Very tasty. Third time, will be going again. Becoming our favorite place!

    We had fabulous cocktails and a great meal. The staff were quite helpful, friendly, and efficient. We were surprised and a bit humbled to learn that the gentleman sitting next to us, who had engaged us in conversation, paid for our dinner! He and his wife left before us to go to a concert nearby. It was so sweet! We will pay it forward!
