It has a great locals bar serving a wide selection of real ales and lagers, dog friendly. Our newly refurbished stylish, relaxed 2 rosette restaurant serves an abundance of locally sourced seasonal produce with an accessible wine list as well as an extensive bar menu.We have created a beautifully landscaped outside dining area with heating and lighting. Each table has an umbrella for cover, but please come prepared for inclement weather. If the weather takes a turn for the worse and you have booked an outside table we may not be able to accommodate you inside.The Fox also boasts 8 beautifully designed bedrooms adjoining the pub which are open all year round. 5 of our our bedrooms are also dog friendly.

Set in the impressive former 1930s Hitchin ballroom, on the first floor, Hermitage Rd restaurant & bar boasts a seasonal, award winning and sustainable premium food offer, from the awarding winning ACI team and a bar renowned for it's bespoke cocktails, quality wine and beer range. The coffee shop is also available for evening hire as a venue for private parties, corporate bashes, book launches etc.

Overall a great experience. Great choice of food for different budgets. Service was great. Venue is beautiful. Drinks at the bar a bit pricey. Food - all lovely. Think I’d opt for the set lunch menu for value and quality next time. Very well looked after for a special birthday celebration.

2 of us had mussels which were very small, I had a 40 day aged steak which was not very good , apart from that everything else was good.

Really nice experience overall. Food quality was great and good portion sizes. Callum our waiter was really good, wasn’t sure if he was new or not but he was really helpful and friendly so thanks to him especially but whole team did great.
