Ulu Kitchen by Merriman is an ocean front restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner service featuring local ingredients and recipes created by chef Peter Merriman. We have indoor and outdoor dining options, with a full bar, and the most prime dining views in all of Ka'anapali. Dine at the most breathtaking oceanfront setting in Kapalua Resort. Peter Merriman Chef/Restauranteur has brought his unique style of Hawaii Regional Cuisine to Maui. A pioneer in the “Farm to Table” concept, Peter serves only the freshest products, at least 90% of which are locally grown or caught, using only sustainable methods.Reservations are released 60 days prior at 6am HST. We encourage walk ins and do not open all tables to reservations.Parking for Longhi's Kaanapali is free of charge in the Marriott Maui Ocean Club's Lahaina Parking Garage. The Garage is located on the south end of the Marriott, near the Hyatt. Make a right turn into the garage and drive to the gate, it will open. Park and take the elevator to ground level. Longhi's is to your right just over a small bridge. Longhi's has been family owned and operated for over Forty Seven years in Hawaii. Longhi's has two locations, each offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Longhi's offers an ala carte menu, featuring Italian cuisine, withspeciality products including organic meats, fresh Hawaiian seafood and produce.     Our first time there, and we had a great experience. We shared a large salad, and we each had the Catch of the Day (Mahi Mahi.) The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff was very attentive. We sat on the patio, and the ocean breezes and view of the water was perfect.

    We had a great meal on Christmas Day! Our server was excellent…I wish I had gotten his name. We weren’t rushed at all. One thing to note and the management might want to consider: we had a small dog with us and when I looked on website to see if they were dog friendly, I could find anything about that. When I called they said it wasn’t a problem and indeed it wasn’t an issue. They may want to add that information to their website for future guests (apologies if it is there and I just missed it). Thank you for the great day!

    The food was good, nothing amazing but it was prepared right and the price was reasonable. The chef was good and friendly but didn’t interact much and he didn’t do any of the corny “egg roll” jokes nor try and flip a veggie into your mouth etc. The $11 up-charge for the fried rice was a joke, it was literally just soy sauce and garlic butter (although the menu says bacon fried rice there was none). If you’re wanting to stay on property, it’s a good option overall.
