A visit to our house is a unique way to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures as well as our treasures from the sea. The word Bagatelle comes from the French and means "a trifle or a little nothing", often referring to a light, fun, yet not too serious spring time romance. The French brought their history of fine cuisine and their love of wine to the Caribbean Islands. It is in this tradition that we have combined our French heritage, southern hospitality and the indigenous tastes of the Florida Keys into the meals we prepare today. Our chefs blend the best of our locally caught fresh seafood, fresh produce and delicious tropical fruits for our tropical seafood dishes.

Our boat launch is located at Slip 29, behind the Opal Key Resort, 245 Front St. Your reservation time is your departure time, please arrive 8-10 minutes prior to check in. Due to limited indoor seating, reservations MAY NOT be guaranteed in case of inclement weather. You are not permitted to board the ferry prior to your reservation time.Advance reservations are required. First Flight Island Restaurant and Brewery is located in the home of Pan Americans office, where the first American international flight ticket Key West- Havana, Cuba was bought on October 28th 1927. The restaurant features a beautiful garden dining area nestled under the canopies of 2 Strangler Figs, an inside dining room with Pan American memorabilia and an indoor- outdoor crash bar made from an airplane wing.This is also the birthplace of the Southernmost Brewery in the States where 3 flagship and seasonal beers are made by Brewmaster Andrew Koennecke. The restaurant menu focuses on locally sourced seafood, house brew braised dishes and fresh seasonal ingredients. The menu changes throughout the year by Executive Chef Ben Schneller who supplements tradition with an island twist.

    Our waiter, Michol, was so helpful in making recommendations, helping with wine selection, and staying attentive despite an adjacent table being overly demanding and intrusive. Our food was well prepared, and portions were large. The tuna appetizer was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Fresh fish was so enjoyable. BTW, the bar is a great place to wait for a table...and if possible, sit outside and marvel at the yachts.

    Crab Benedict was an awesome. Loved the hash browns as well there are like a small potato pancake. Daughter had blueberry pancakes she said best ever. Other daughter had the power breakfast smoothie and said it was awesome. Parked in garage right behind the dock $21 to park not too bad we are use to Chicago parking lol. Well worth the trip top notch. The address given in maps doesn’t put you exactly where we needed to be. Ask directions and that helped a bunch.

    Very cute restaurant right in the heart of Key West. The server was attentive. The food was very good. We had lobster pasta, seared tuna, and burrata salad as appetizer. Highly recommend to try this place if you in Keys.

    We had a table of 8 and they sat us right by the window which looked out directly on the beautiful marina. They were very accommodating with our reservation when we had to push it 30 minutes. Food was delicious. The appetizers were exquisite! Our server was friendly! She let us know right up front that our experience was going to be nice and slow. I do wish they would have taken our order up front versus waiting until we were done with appetizers. Overall, a good time.
