Gaylords now rebranded as The Plantation House by Gaylords offers one of Kauai's most beautiful settings for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Located in the historic Kilohana Plantation home, diners are seated around an open-air courtyard with views of the plantation grounds and Mt. Waialeale in the distance. Our kitchen uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients supporting our local farmers and fishermen. Our 67-acre sustainable farm provides much of the produce and herbs used in our dishes and cocktails. My wife and I shared the sea bass and the snapper. Both were outstanding and it was the best dinner we have ever had in Hawaii. I would especially recommend the sea bass. And how can you go wrong with the mesmerizing view! The bread pudding was a disappointment, and I would recommend looking for something else for dessert. But we were so pleased with the food and the experience that we are going to be sure to go back again before we leave Kauai.

Atmosphere was outstanding. We were seated on the terrace and it was cool with a nice breeze. Food was great, nice wine and very subtle lighting which added to the ambiance. Lisa was our server… professional, kind and very attentive. She left a note on our check that was much appreciated… she had no way of knowing my wife had been recently diagnosed with leukemia, and in one word note made us both smile. It was comforting and sweet.
