A Family Tradition For Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only. The restaurant, ambiance, and service is GREAT. We truly enjoyed the whole afternoon. We ordered Mrs. Knotts Chicken meal and it did not disappoint. All the fixins and dessert to boot. The only thing is that the chicken was a bit overdone and not as juicy as we would have hoped. That was my only slight commentary.

Mo was our server and she was awesome! Very efficient, friendly and courteous! She has a great disposition and is a very hard worker! Our drinks were never empty! I would definitely eat here again and ask for Mo!

The food was great and we found out that on Mondays, kids eat free when the adults buy an entree. It was a great night out for me and my family. One of the better dining options for me and my vacationing family. We will definitely be back!

I thought this was like a Hard Rock or another touristy expensive restaurant with average food but it’s actually great. Our server Adam provided perfect friendly service and advice. Perfect professional waiter IMO. Food was good. Happy hour beers were delicious. Our Wednesday burgers specials were delicious. The decor is awesome everywhere you look too!
