Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.     This was just one of our many visits to Il Posto, and they have never disappointed. We were slightly surprised how busy they were on this night in December, but that's good for them. They stay open all year, and we try to support them for it. Our entrees were outstanding and the service is amazing. from our waitress to the server who brings bread and water. This is simply an outstanding restaurant. Don't miss it it -- in summer or winter.

    We had dinner for 6 originally but then needed to add a 7th, they were very accommodating. Food was excellent and they treated us like royalty.

    Pleasantly surprised. Our dinner, ravioli bolognese and the veal Fontana were delicious. We shared a tomato and olive salad that we both loved. Service was great. The complimentary lemoncello was a nice ending to our meal. Highly recommend.

    I have been to the Avalon Gold Club numerous times for lunch. I enjoyed each visit. Today I was there for the Thanksgiving buffet. There were many food choices to pick from. Everything I had was absolutely delicious. Even though alot of people were seated the place was remarkably quiet - so you got to enjoy your meal and conversation with people at your table. I am returning twice in December - once for my birthday and the other Christmas Eve day and I look forward to each visit.
