Ever since the first caveman decided to slap a side of mammoth over the cave fire, man (and woman) has enjoyed the flavor of food cooked over a wood fire. At Timber Wood-Fire Bistro, all of our dishes are made from scratch using the highest quality ingredients. They are then cooked either over our state-of-the-art wood burning grill or in a brick oven heated by the embers of logs. Cooking in this way imparts a slight smokiness as it brings out the natural flavors of the food. A juicy ribeye sizzles and caramelizes, giving the tender beef a gorgeous crust. The homemade dough for our pizzas rises in the heat, and the crust gets to be the perfect combination of crisp and chewy. Vegetables share an entirely new flavor profile when cooked over wood.     Highly recommend the cocktail Old Fashion on the menu. Appetizer brussels sprouts could have used more balsamic glaze, mixed well and possibly cooked to make a bit crispy. Would not order again. Stroganoff was excellent. Hamburger was huge with good taste not cooked to order but still good. French Fries did not wow my guest. She ordered a Caesar salad which did not arrive, but was not on bill when it came. I would return for a second visit.

    Brooks is a phenomenal part of their staff. He made great recommendations, and anticipated needs like a pro. If you are lucky enough to land in his section, it will be a treat.

    First time we visited J Gilbert’s. Food was so good. We ordered off the PreFix menu. The amount of food was great for the value. The ambience was warm and comfortable. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We will be back!!

    We celebrated our daughter’s college graduation here! It was the perfect experience and setting! The service was amazing and the food fantastic! I recommend the pork pot stickers for sure! I had a sandwich and was very pleased ☺️. Everything was great, can’t pick just one thing!! We will return!!!
