Argentina-raised John Rattagan was the family grill master from an early age, in a country where the asado (barbecue) enjoys near sacred status. Luckily for London, he left his homeland as a young man and set up Buen Ayre in the heart of trendy Hackney. The headline act is the steaks, served in a range of cuts with a simple garnish. Welcome to BEHIND. We are an intimate 1 Michelin star fish-focused tasting menu restaurant run by chef Andy Beynon. Situated on the edge of London Fields, Hackney, BEHIND has 18 kitchen-table seats for lunch and dinner sittings, as well as a relaxed wine bar. BEHIND is Andy Beynon’s first restaurant, opened in October 2020. After just 20 days’ trading it was awarded its first Michelin Star. Andy spent 15 years working in some of the best Michelin star restaurants in the country, including with chefs Claude Bosi, Phil Howard and Michael Wignall.

The Water House Project is a modern British tasting menu experience in Bethnal Green, East London.Chef Gabriel Waterhouse opened The Water House Project with his wife, Patricia in Bethnal Green in Autumn 2021 aiming to bridge the gap between fine dining elegance and a more relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.

 Here the team serve a seasonally evolving tasting menu which changes every three months. We rely on local, seasonal ingredients using these when at their best. 
 
We believe in using small amounts of ethically and sustainably reared meat and fish, and partnering with suppliers who share in our values. The Hemingway is a good quality pub that serves delicious no-nonsense grub.You can see every dish being made to order in our open plan kitchen- no soggy microwaved frozen meals here! We take great care in sourcing our produce direct from the best suppliers both locally and abroad. Our menu is a mix of classic crowd pleasers and regularly changing seasonal dishes, which means you'll always find something to tempt your taste buds (even if you're in every day!).We are a pub, not a cocktail bar and while we make a blinding Bloody Mary, and will happily mix you an Aperol Spritz or Negroni, we don't do Pina Coladas. That said, we are extremely proud of our wide range of spirits from around the globe, which (where possible) we offer at affordable prices. The wine list has been chosen to provide a simple but high quality selection that goes as well with our food as it does with some good company.

    one of my favourite restaurants in london. scrap that, one of my favourite anywhere. if you’re a meat lover it’s the very best of the Argentinian steakhouse experience. when that hot plate comes out with generous, perfectly cooked ‘hunks’ of meat and provolone melting by its side, you can’t help regret any stomach space you’ve wasted in the previous 24 hours. Venue itself has an unpretentious, authentic feel to it, and the staff are always cool, easy going & friendly. just an all round great experience, and very reasonably priced. the only negative - it takes over an hour for me to get there from north west london!

    We had a family diner at Chakana and everyone loved the experience. The food is amazingly fresh, colorful and tasty and the service was on point - very discrete while very available and friendly. We recommend and will be back!

    Delicious food, the courses were so creative and well thought through. The setting and way the chefs serve the tables was also perfect, not too overwhelming, but really nice to be able to see them plate up each dish in front of you. Also loved the shipping forecast playing in the loos. Delicious cocktails too
