The garden area is open on a limited basis and taken on a first come first serve for walk-ins.Serving dinner and bistro fare, Alchemy Restaurant and Bar offers cuisine transformed. Hearsay’s modern take on American cuisine and cocktails combines with the distinct atmosphere and music of the 1930s to create a space that is warm, inviting, and unlike any other in Southern Oregon. Situated just below the beloved Oregon Cabaret Theatre and a three-minute walk from the world-renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Our family first arrived in America from Italy in 1927 by way of Ellis Island. I'm inspired by the traditional approach my Nona took to cooking in our kitchen growing up.​Simple dishes, the absolute best ingredients available, and a lot of love.     This is easily the best restaurant in Medford, and one of the best in the Rogue Valley. The service is impeccable, and they make you feel like a celebrity when you show up. Their wine list is great and their wine service and knowledge are top level. The food is finely prepared, and the whole experience is 1 1/2 to 2 hours, so you are never rushed and there's no feeling that they have to turn your table to get another guest in. Amazing dinner in a beautiful setting.

    A great experience. We had a very large group and although our reservation was for 5:30pm our dinner didn't start until 6:30pm. It was a Friday night so we made allowances for it and still had a wonderful time. Our chef, although new, kept us entertained and was very skilled. All in all a great experience and one we will do again!

    Manchurian roasted cauliflower is superb! Silly rule that Happy Hour drinks are only available in the lounge when the dining area is directly open to the lounge! The lounge was actually quieter than the dining area as the live piano player, along with a larger crowd, made the dining area noisier.
