Full-Service indoor dining is offered in our dining rooms and bar from Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am - 10 pm and Sunday, 11 am - 9 pm. Our tent is open for regular dining, Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am - 10 pm and Sunday, 11 am - 9 pm. The tent remains a perfect spot for groups and families. Walking up the front steps you hear the creak of the original floor boards, and as you enter through the large Colonial doors you may find yourself twisting the old fashioned hand crank doorbell. Every detail of the building is historical, and every picture hanging on the wall gives you a glimpse of what life was like in the 1800’s.Along with our passion for keeping history alive, we also have an even greater passion for food. The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Delicious homemade desserts complete the menus, which are revised several times a year.
