DeCarolis introduces the first restaurant in the South to focus on fatta a mano —handmade pasta. Mothers and Sons offers antipasti dishes such seasonal bruschettas or smoked octopus.     We’ve been several times over the past few months with just the two of us and a larger party of family and friends. Every meal is extraordinary. Quickly becoming my new favorite Durham restaurant. Sit at the bar and get the smash burger if you can!

    Excellent meal. Our party tried the crab cakes, short rib special, salmon special, tenderloin and shrimp carbonara special. Everything was cooked to perfection. The spinach and caramelized onion dip was also terrific. Highly recommend the drive to Oxford for this place.

    Amazing meal as always!! Such attentive staff, fabulous food and elegant ambience!! The perfect place for any occasion. Love bomba shrimp, hangar steak, cukes, Brussels, garlic ramen, salad rolls, dumplings and all the desserts are superb. Thank you for a delightful Boxing Day dinner!

    My daughter and I thought it was great! The only wish was that the dessert menu had better selections and they would have offered a dessert or drink or complimentary to the birthday girl for the birthday event. Regardless, We tipped graciously and expressed our joy for the food and service.
