From it’s humble beginnings as a pop-up restaurant, to a farmer"s market stand and now a successful brick-and-mortar eatery, The Pig and the Lady, led by twice-nominated James Beard semifinalist Chef Andrew Le (with help from his family including his mother, Mama Le), cook up what is essentially the family meal in the truest sense -- Exposing Honolulu diners a cross-section of cuisine that has Vietnamese origins, but is eclectic and daring.Chef Le and his team have developed a modern, fresh take on traditional Southeast Asian food, utilizing local products -- serving their famous banh mi and pho, along with new favorites. This place is fantastic! I booked about a month in advance due to a friend’s recommendation and I was not disappointed. The service was thorough, empty plates were promptly cleared and water glasses were always full. The food proved to be some of the most delicious plates I’ve had in my life. Do not miss the Burmese Tea Salad or the Epaulette, both were some of the best bites I’ve had in a long time. Thank you FOH and BOH for working so well together and providing myself and my family with our best dining experience while visiting O’ahu!

Attentive service, cool vibe, and delicious food makes MOKU Kitchen an awesome place to go. The sautéed ahi with jalapeño masked potatoes and broccoli was ono. The meal topped off with the banana cream pie was spectacular. Consider trying it the next time you go.

Waiter and other waithelp very attentive, kind, and willing to help. Their spoken words showed that they loved their job and helping guests. I also feel it is a reflection on the management culture at the downtown location. Mahalo nui.
