Love and Salt is a story that begins with Cafe Pierre, a restaurant birthed by Guy Gabriele in 1977 to bring a taste of France to Los Angeles’ South Bay. While Cafe Pierre was a beloved part of the community for nearly 37 years, in 2014, Guy and his daughter Sylvie Gabriele, now the owner of Love and Salt, closed the restaurant to bring new life to the iconic space.Love and Salt is a philosophy: that food needs only two ingredients to be great.     The table next to us had children banging spoons into their glasses. They were unsettled and vocal throughout the meal. It was a festive atmosphere, but it was difficult to focus on my husband's conversation with the banging from the next table. The food was delicious. The service was great. My husband enjoyed his cocktail. Making our reservation was easy. The Christmas carolers were a nice touch for the holidays.

    I brought my kids who were home for the holidays, and everything was excellent from top to bottom - from the receptionist patiently working her magic to accommodate our changed schedule, to the wait staff ensuring we were taken care of, to the owner/chef checking in on us to ensure our experience and cuisine was up to snuff. It was and then some- it was exceptional. The martinis, shrimp cocktail, and squash blossoms were perfect ways to start the evening, followed by the lamb, sole, and Caesar salad with steak. It was a lively atmosphere and we enjoyed running into other families we knew. A special night at a special place :)

    What an amazing Christmas Lunch!! As always, the drinks were amazing, the food incredible and the service excellent. We absolutely love this place! The Holiday menu items were killer as well. Always super highly recommended! PS: Sal our server made me a special drink which I loved. Great place!!!
